Before I go into a more serious issue, let me say……ha, ya’ll aren’t getting Kobe, not for at least another two seasons, and within a week we’ll have Jermaine O’Neal (the Lakers have already been talking to the Pacers about it). Now, I reached out to Meka Soul cuz I wanted to do a blog about the responses he received to his blog, cuz I know how it feels to have someone biting you, and not acknowledging it. I got no response, so I'll just do it anywayz....lol. So first and foremost, if you haven’t checked his blog out, check it here. I’d first like to state, that I agree strongly with what Meka was saying. What I disagree with is a lot of the responses he got. It’s just goes on to prove what I’ve been telling my girl, her friends, and every female I know, guys are stupid, and if you get a real dude (like me) you need to appreciate him, cuz they’re rare.
First of all, if your black and you prefer someone else other than a black woman, you’re a bitch ass nigga. Pardon my relapse to my younger ignant self, but life isn’t easy for anybody, especially us. YOU should know that, and black females have it the hardest. They’re black AND female. Now I’m not against interracial dating and marriage, because I understand love is the strongest emotion and it has no color lines, but if you are out SPECIFICALLY looking for someone else…you should be ashamed of yourself. Like I always say, things are far from how they used to be for my ancestors, but things still aren’t right. The problem now-a-days to me are more our own peoples actions, and less the actions of others. Our own biases against our own females are just a part of US being bias against US.
The reason a lot of people don’t like messing with black females is because black females don’t like messing with them. It’s always the lame dude that’s chasing “snow bunnies”. It’s always the dude who isn’t shit and has no aspirations to be anything, or the dudes that thinks the world is owed to him due to small accomplishments that have “Yellow Fever”. (Wesley Snipes)One dude said in Meka’s blog he can’t get head from a black female. That’s probably because you just met her. Not to say that other races just throw dicks in their mouth on the first date, but the thing is, when you mess with “loose” women of any race, and then mess with a female with standards, you can’t treat them the same way. When I was a young teenager and running wild with my boys, we had females of all races that we could tell to mess with 3 of our friends and they’d do it. As I got older and more mature, I realized I wanted a real women (or girl considering I was still young) I met a female I fell in love with and we’ve been together for what's now going on 8 years this November. She’s black. She made me wait longer than I’ve ever waited (I’ve never really waited prior to her), yet when she gave in; she keeps me satisfied in ALL WAYS. (I’m not giving no details cuz she and people we know read this) A lot of my boys are still the same way, and now that we’re older, they still have females of all races that will do whatever they tell them to. My point? In my short 23 (going on 24 the 23rd of June) years of life, I’ve learned that you can’t generalize females of any race.
As for the stat about black women and Asian males being the least married, I’m not really bothered by that. If I recall, black females outnumber black males by a significant ratio. Take that, and add in the fact that they probably mess with other races the least, and that black males once thought it was a sign of success to have a woman of another race, I expect them to be the least married. As far as Asian males…I don’t know, maybe it has something to do with white males STRONG love for Asian women. White women probably aren’t on the bottom because even though white men have Asian girl fetishes, black men have white girl fetishes. I don’t know that last part is speculation, but I KNOW black females outnumber black males by a WHOLE LOT. I could go into how dudes overall aren’t shit, but let me chill, take “Brown Skin Lady” by Blackstar off repeat, and through some Jazz on. I’ll do that blog another time.
I had to drop everything. Originally I was writing a blog about why I support the south, and why I’m tired of all the disses thrown at the south, but after seeing another blog about the south, I said nah, this is too played out. I then went to go write a blog about how PS3 is far superior to X360…..but then….it happened, KOBE WANTS TO BE TRADED!!!
First of all, I’m a huge Lakers fan. I was a Lakers fan back in the day with Magic, I was a Lakers fan when they couldn’t make It to the championship with some of my favorites Nick Van Excel and Eddie Jones, however, I had to fade away from supporting them when all the bandwagon fans with the flags and all that when Shaq came to town. When Shaq left it was cool for me show my support again. When the Lakers lost this year and Kobe said he demanded them to do something to make them a contender, I got excited, who would it be? Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O’Neal, Mike Bibby? Somebody new was gonna join the Lakers, and we’d be competing for a title again. Well, now I found out today someone new is gonna have to come to the Lakers, because Kobe is demanding out. Apparently the Lakers organization has been going behind dudes back talking shit to the media, and they lied to him about their plans to become contenders. Is it true? I don’t know. Shaq told Stephen A Smith that he believes what Kobe is saying. If Shaq played for the Lakers and he has a reputation for not liking Kobe, but he still believes him, it’s just might be true. Who the hell could you get trading Kobe? Nobody in the league is worth that much. The few possible answers, Wade, Lebron, etc., etc. would never get traded. I already see what’s gonna happen, New York trades their whole team damn near and they get Kobe, we get a bunch of garbage flashy point guards. Ugh! I can’t even talk about this anymore; I just want to know what other people think about it.
First and foremost let me say rest in peace to anyone lost in any war, fighting for something they believed in. My uncle James died fighting in Vietnam. We often forget the sacrifices people make for their family, community, and their country, so I figured I’d take the time out to remind people the purpose of Memorial Day, it’s more than just a reason for a 3 day weekend, and cooning in Miami.
So normally I don’t speak on topics everyone else is speaking on. I’m gonna make an exception. There’s a lot of talk going on this site about Kanye. Is he the new primo? Is he garbage? Will his album be dope? Me personally I think ‘Ye’s music is good (no pun intended). I’m gonna go a step further, while everyone complains about the south running things, due to their huge presence on TV and radio, I’d say quality wise; Chi-Town is definitely on top of the game.
“They ask me where hip hop is goin; it’s Chicagoan, poetry in motion like a picture now showin”
Common “Chi-city”
As I remember, Common represented for Chi-Town first in the hip hop world. A lot of people say Twista did with regional hit, but I’m out west, I’m sorry, I never heard of it. Nobody has been as consistent as the artist once known as Common Sense. As we anticipate “Finding Forever” most believe Common is one of the greatest emcees of all time (Me being one of them). But ask any Lakers fan and they’ll tell you, One man can’t do it all by themselves. After Common came, Chi-town gave us Twista, Crucial Conflict, Psycho Drama, and others that were ok at best, Stephen Garbonavich (garbage) at worst. Things would remain the same until Jay-z producer with “a Benz and a backpack” arrived.
While Common gave the heads great music from Chi-town, Kanye was Chicago’s first mainstream hip hop superstar, and he didn’t forget where he came from. When Kanye hit it big, he didn’t forget the people back home. He did the production on Common’s classic (yeah I said it) album “Be” and tried hard to help Bump J blow (too bad the highlight of his career was a video game soundtrack and a McDonalds’ commercial) Kanye continued to blow himself up with features and production everywhere, and his two dope albums “College Dropout” and “Late Registration” putting it down for Chi. He also helped bring out another artist who had been putting it down for the windy city…..Rhymefest.
Rhymefest had much to boast about before he dropped his album “Blue Collar” which was most definitely hella dope. You may not know it, but before ‘Fest dropped an album he was a dope battle rapper. Don’t believe me? Ask Eminem. Rhymefest got his major break when a big time dude from his city asked if he could “borrow” some of his lines for a song he wanted to do, “Jesus Walks”. ‘Fest agreed and went on to get a Grammy for the song he loaned his lines to. Kanye could’ve down played the whole incident, but he shouted Rhymefest out several times, and went on to do several tracks for Rhymefest’s album “Blue Collar” which is hella dope, if you don’t have that go pick it up.
One of the harder questions to answer last year in the hip hop world was “What’s better, Lupe Fiasco’s Food and Liquor or Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor?” Some dude told me about Lupe Fiasco in the midst of me whooping his ass on NBA 2k7 online. I checked his mixtapes out, they were cool I guess. When Lupe’s album leaked however….I was blown away. I haven’t heard a debut CD that good since “Illmatic”. Food and Liquor quickly took over my IPOD (yea, I still had one of those garbage ass things then). When I heard dude (Lupe) say that wasn’t his CD, he was coming out with different music I was confused. I didn’t know if it was a good thing or a bad thing. He could come out with a CD that was better, or he could come out with some trash aimed more for the mainstream. I waited, and waited, and waited. When the album did drop, I didn’t know which one was better, but I knew they were both dope. Lupe Fiasco may have made his first TV appearance on a Kanye song, and got a Kanye beat for his album, but he didn’t get in the game off the strength of Kanye. He turned down signing to Def Jam, to keep a promise he made to one of his peoples back home. Lupe’s CD was executive produced by Jay Z, but he came in the game on his own, just like a young Nasir Jones did several years prior.
While Meka and William argue whether Kanye is the new Premo, I’d rather argue he’s the new Dr. Dre to Chicago, the gatekeeper. If an artist wishes to come out of Chicago, you have to get at least one Kanye beat, and a nod. Nevertheless, one group pushes on without the Kanye connection. When I heard Rawkus was coming back, I was extremely excited. Unlike El-P (whose new album “I’ll Sleep When Your Dead” is hella dope) I liked Rawkus (probably because I didn’t have to deal with them on the business side of things). I heard there first act was a group called Kidz in the Hall. The name alone sort of scared me away. One day, while going through the best hip hop album review section on the net (take a wild guess where) I ran into a review of Kidz in the Hall “School was my Hustle”. The reviewer said (if I remember correctly) that the emcee of the duo, Naledge, spoke on revolution way too often, there was good beats and good tracks overall. The reviewer gave the album a 3 ½ out of 5. Based on the review, I decided to go check the album out for myself. I’d give it a 4. Not only do Kidz in the Hall not have a Kanye connection, they come from the opposite end of the college spectrum. They’re not college dropouts, there Ivy League graduates. WOW. The music is definitely dope, and it promotes positivity, you can’t hate on that.
With Common, Kanye, Rhymefest, Lupe, and Kidz in the Hall, Chicago is bringing the best music to the rap game right now. They’re not involved in the “Hip Hop is Dead” argument, they’re not involved in the “The South Killed Hip Hop” argument, they just bring good music, and you can’t hate on that. Twista is ok, I’m not big on him, and I’m sure they’re other underground kat’s I didn’t mention, but I only speak on what I know, and I KNOW these dudes are dope. They may not sell millions of albums, but if skills sold truth be told, they’d probably, sell more albums than 5 Jay-zs. Well, probably not, but they’d move units.
P.S. Can the dude who works for L’Oreal or whatever it is stop emailing me? Seriously, it’s bad enough you’re an idiot; you emailing me from you work email could get you fired if I make that call, so stop it.
Go pick up Kidz in the Hall “School Is My Hustle” I’ve shouted these dudes out all over MySpace, I’m gonna continue to promote dope music.
1 more test to go. This one is easier though, it's philosophy so I'm good for now. I'm gonna go back to studying tomorrow, so I figured I'd go ahead and do a blog today. I've been checking out hiphopdx for a hot second. I originally found this page because it was connected to a mixtape page. (yea, I used to actually BUY mixtapes...can you believe that?) The reviews were pretty on point and they helped me find new underground shit to fuck with. One of my other favorite things to read here is the WTF section. You can check out the newest one here if you haven't already. In honor of that section, I figured I'd create my own blog entitled STFU. So here we go....the following people can STFU:
1. Jay Mariotti of the Chicago Sun Times, Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times, and Bob Ryan of the Boston Globe.
I'm a big sports fan. ESPN is my favorite channel, and my favorite shows are Around the Horn (what up Mike Smith) and Pardon the Interruption. The two shows are sort of the same except Around the Horn features 4 different sports writers on a daily basis from newspapers nationwide who compete arguing the biggest sports issues, while PTI features the same two guys (Mike Wilbon from the Washington Post, and Tony Kornheiser from Monday Night Football) every day discussing the issues with a time limit. The aforementioned sports writers above frequent Around the Horn, and get on my damn nerves. First they've been going hard on Mike Vick like's he's Pacman Jones. Micheal Vick of the Atlanta Falcons owned a home that his cousin stayed in. His cousin was running dog fights at the house. These mfers take every chance they get to hop on Vick. They ASSume pretty much that he's guilty already. They're blaming the owner of the Falcons for "coddling" Vick. They keep bringing up the water bottle incident. (For those who don't know, Vick was stopped at an airport and checked. They found a water bottle on him that contained a secret compartment. The airport security alleged the water bottle reaked of marijuana. These same sports writers hopped on Vick. The cops ran tests on the bottle, they found no evidence of weed). Then they say that the Falcons shouldn't have gotten rid of Matt Schaub, because they're not going to want to keep Vick, because he's not productive.....Matt who?? So this year the Falcons got a new coach (like the 6th coach since Vick has been there, forcing him to change schemes and all sorts of other things all the time) in Bobby Petrino. The first thing he did was trade their backup QB Matt Schaub. Matt Schaub has played in 4 games in like 5 seasons. He becomes a free agent after this season, so if they kept him, he'd probably leave next year and they'd get nothing for him. This also assured Vick that Petrino has confidence in him, and that he has nothing to worry about. Vick has BEEN the Falcons nearly his whole career. Not lead, he IS the Falcons. The falcons offensive line, (the guy's responsible for protecting the QB) is horrible. Vick left college with a run first mentality, but probably the second strongest arm in the NFL (behind Brett Farve). He's never been able to transition into more of a passer, because his O line is so horrid. He completes about 53% of his passes. Maybe if he had someone to throw to other than his Tight End who won't drop the damn ball, he'd be a little better. I know, Vick was on my Fantasy team. I beat the best team in my fantasy league because of Vick running. When I played in my league's playoffs I went with Vick. His running was shut down. He started trying to pass, but I watched pass after pass dropped, including a touchdown. Vick has taken the Falcons to the playoffs several occasions. Jay Mariotti says that Vick wouldn't start on 90% of the teams in the league....STFU.
These same writers hop on Donoven Mcnabb every chance they get. Donoven Mcnabb led the NFL in every QB statistic last year and then he got hurt. Jeff Garcia took at QB, they turned more into a running team, depending more on Brian Westbrook than they ever have, and they went to the NFC finals. After they loss, Jeff Garcia became a free agent, the Eagles didn't resign him and he went to the Tampa Bay Bucs (my boys). In this years draft, the Eagles traded back in the draft to the beginning of the second round, and with there first pick selected another QB, Kevin Kolb. (who?) Donoven Mcnabb came out and told the media he was shocked they did that, because he thought the team had other needs, like wide receivers and such. These writers jumped on Mcnabb. He needs to stop whining. His time is up in Philly. Philly should have kept Garcia. Excuse me? Isn't this the same Donoven Mcnabb who carried the Eagles to the NFC finals all those years in a row without a huge reliance on Brian Westbrook, and then, when he finally got a receiver other than Stinkston and Trash, in Terrel Owens, he took the team to the Super Bowl?(without Owens actually, Owens was hurt for the playoffs) He needs to stop whining? Don't the Eagles have other needs? Like WR's, Mcnabb made the WR he has, maybe they should get somebody who is somebody BEFORE they have a great QB throwing to them. There was several receivers available before the Eagles traded down in the draft. There were receivers available after they traded down in the draft. They took a QB who's gonna be 4th string behind the backups they already have. Mcnabb is done...STFU
Finally, these same writers said Amare Stoudamire needs to stop whining after Bruce Bowen attempted (obviously) to re injure Amare's ACL in the playoffs. San Antonio isn't dirty. Amare needs to stop whining. Bruce Bowen is a great defender. Amare went up for a layup, Bruce Bowen was behind him and he kicked his foot out. No reason for that at all. However, when Steve Nash was guarding Bruce Bowen closely, Bowen moved his right leg over to clear out space and kneed Nash between the legs....Lynch that nigga. "That's obviously a dirty play" "He's definitely a dirty player" they cried. Like days after they said he wasn't. Amare missed all of last year with a fucked up ACL, Bowen went for that same spot on him, and that wasn't dirty, yet he knees Nash (which I know hurts) and he's dirty? Let's not get into how they reacted to Horry's hard foul of Nash. OMG. Horry is such a great player. Every team needs a Robert Horry. One Hard foul, and he goes from Big Shot Bob to Cheap Shot Bob. I guess athletes thought after OJ and Kobe you have to be accused of something HUGE for "mainstream" America to turn on you. I guess not. Bob, Bill and Jay....STFU.
2. Jim Rome of ESPN's "Rome is burning"
Oh yeah, this dude definitely need to STFU. He endlessly crusades to help in the destruction of Barry Bonds. I'm no Baseball fan, therefore I'm no Bonds fan. Yea, dudes stats took a big jump. So did Mcgwire and Sosa...where the hell was Jim Rome then? I watched his show one day, and Seth Joyner, and ex-NFL player was on there talking about the whole Bonds issue he said "You know, In America we have this thing called innocent until prove guilty, Bonds hasn't failed one test yet" you should have seen Rome's reaction. What? Evidence? There's a book called "Game of Shadows" (or whatever it's called) that says he took steroids!! Seth was like "So, I could write a book tomorrow and say you took steroids, what's that prove". Oh, but look at his head. Seth was like "I don't care, nothing has been proven," It's true. Nothing has been proven. All this talk blah blah, blah, blah, blah. Nothing has been proven, but they're not celebrating him breaking records. Why not? Fucking McDonald's and everybody was celebrating Mcgwire and Sosa, all of a sudden baseball doesn't care. The FEDS catch this guy Grimsley (first name...I don't remember), they tell him "we'll give you the lightest sentence we can if you give us info on Barry Bonds" What kind of shit is this? The feds are trying to get snitches(that's real snitching) on Bonds. Grimsley doesn't give up Bonds. He does however give up Curt Schilling.(more on him later). What does Rome have to say about that? Nothing. I never heard Rome even bring that up. He's too focused on Barry....and now Vick and Mcnabb also. The media is scrambling around, asking Hank Aaron all the time "Are you gonna be there when Bonds breaks your record?" when Aaron finally replies no, Bonds says "The media is really trying to make this seem like Aaron doesn't like me, they should just leave the issue alone". I'd be pretty upset if people kept asking me the same shit. What does Rome think? "Barry trying to blame something on us again.......STFU
3. Curt Schilling
Ok, so this dude has a blog (the nerve of these bloggers) and he says that Barry Bonds has cheated on his taxes, cheated on his wife, and cheated baseball. Excuse me? Aren't you the same guy who got snitched on? How the hell you know Bonds cheated on his Wife? Bonds never said that. I'm all for bloggers being able to say what they want, but they shouldn't WANT to go that far. That's too much...STFU.
4. Cam'ron
STFU. Period. I don't have to say much more, when members of your own crew want you to STFU, you really should
5. Master P
How are you gonna say your gonna do a record without cursing. That's what needs to be done, we should do things like that....nigga you just re-released a cd called Ghetto Dope....oh wait, I mean Ghetto D, but we all know what that means, just like we all know what the Snow Man is about....STFU
6. Al Sharpton and Russel Simmons
Yea, these dudes get it together. That whole banning of words thing...hella stupid, and hella late. Am I the only one that noticed these people aren't the first ones to try and change some shit? Why do they, and the media act like they are? Besides....if they're banning the N word and shit, are they gonna stop Jews from making fun of Jews??? Are they gonna cancel Entourage (please don't) to keep Jeremy Piven from making another joke about jewish people? Are they gonna take every Ali G episode off the air, and refuse to show Sacha Boren Cohen's "Borat" on TV because he's Jewish and they don't want people to think they can make fun of Jews because he does? No, there just gonna keep firing black people for making comments about Jews (Ashy Larry, that CBA coach). If your not gonna do this shit for everybody....STFU
7. The makers of "Nappy Headed Hoes", the porn movie
Since when has Porn been involved with something that actually mattered? Dude shouldn't have got fired because we have a right to freedom of speech? For those that don't know, some porn company is making a movie called "Nappy Headed Hoes" and they are gonna donate the proceeds of the movie to dude who got kicked off that radio show who's name I won't mention. For the record, he didn't get kicked off the radio for that statement....he got kicked off because his sponsors pulled out, and the company wasn't gonna be getting they paper.....so STFU.
8. Dumb ass people commenting on Hiphopdx.com
I've been reading the comments on this page and alot of people are saying racism is dead....STFU.Check this blog out. I'm not big on illegal immigrants. living in southern Cal, I have to deal with the problems that come from having them here, but I never support police brutality or any other form of unnecessary violence. I don't' give a fuck if it's an illegal Martian. Just because you live in West Bubblefuck and it's all white people and you guys don't have racism doesn't mean the shit isn't around. Things have gotten ALOT better in this country for my peoples, but the shit still ain't racism free for blacks, or any other minorities for that matter. I'm also against sexism and discrimination against gays for that matter also, and those two very much still exist. If you beleive otherwise...STFU.
9. Anyone still supporting about beef in hip hop....
Ok, my last blog was about Game. Alot of people tried to make it a G-Unit/BWS thing. I'm not for that. I'm not a G-unit fan. I admit, I was sort of liking when dude smacked Ja rule outta the game, and I was liking the Jay-Z vs Nas thing, but beef is played out. It's to gimmicky now. Everybody has had beef recently. You had kids beefing, producers making diss records...I mean come on. Back in the day, you would hear different crews had beef, but they wouldn't speak on it. You'd sort of wonder...man, what would happen if so and so, and what's his name got into it. I bet so and so would eat him alive. Now it's like these Mfers is just spinning a wheel to see who the next diss record is aimed at. It's played out. All these stans putting their comments up dissing dude....not because they don't like dude, but because their favorite rapper don't like dude. When Jay beefed with Nas...I thought Stillmatic was one of the dopest albums out. Ya'll act like high school girls all emotional and shit. All attached to these dudes. At the end of the day, none of these rappers pay me. If Murs dissed Dilated Peoples, I'm still bumping every Dilated album, no matter how big of a Murs fan I am. So everyone promoting this beef shit....STFU.
10. People speaking on technology, that don't know what they're talking about.
Another one of the things I love. I gotta have the newest dope shit. What makes me mad though is some people get so attached to their gadget, they just diss everything else. STFU. I was in a Gamestop and I was trying to get my friend to buy a Zune (microsofts mp3/video) player. Why did a Gamestop employee try and talk him out of it? Earlier we were talking about PS3, and my friend said he was gonna get one. The dude said we should get Xbox 360's. I said hell no cuz I had 2 that broke already, and my friend said his broke too. Dude was like "Oh, my 360 never broke, there's nothing wrong with 360's, you must not be handling it right..." I asked him if he had an original 360, when he replied yea, I said "Don't worry, yours will break too" I got my Zune in my pocket, I'm like "Yea man, it's dope, you got 30 gigs, it goes widescreen for the videos, when you listen to the CD, it shows the album cover huge in the background...." here this dude comes again, I guess he was trying to avenge his 360 "Oh, you got a Zune, I don't like those, I had one, I got rid of it. I like my IPOD more," so I tell dude, yea, IPODs are cool, but I like the screen on the Zune better, and the Zune let's you share music (3plays for 3 days, unless you know how to get around that....which I do......but I don't, that'd be illegal) and the Zune has the radio which the IPOD doesn't, and I like the widescreen video, and etc.,etc....so then this kat, he tries to say "Oh, it takes forever to put music on a Zune"...what? So my friend starts to think about it, but then he says oh well, give me the Zune. Then dude says "Are you sure you want this?" Excuse me? Isn't that what he just said? So we go back to my crib and I put music on his Zune, and he's feeling it. Soon after, another one of my friends brings his IPOD for me to load stuff onto, my friend with the Zune messes with the IPOD and goes..."This is whack..what was that dude at Gamestop talking about?" I don't know, and I'm sure the dude at Gamestop didn't either.
Some people used to try and tell me PS2 had better graphics than XBOX, or PC games don't have good graphics. Get the hell outta here. PS3 cost way too much, they should lower it to like 350 or something....Excuse me? You do know that's a blu-ray dvd drive in the PS3 right? You do know they hold like 5 to 6 times as much as DVD 9s(that Xbox 360 can use) can hold and that Blu-Ray dvd players cost cake by themselves right? I can understand that you can't afford it..I couldn't afford it, I got hooked up with a deal, but they should lower it to $350 when it hasn't even been out a year and it's technology cost way more than that? STFU.
I'm only gonna go up to 10 this time, but I'll probably use this again and keep track of these people that need to STFU alot more, that way I can go into more detail and such. Before you come at me about Barry Bonds consider this......If you think Barry Bonds is on steroids, you should think damn near all Baseball players are, you should consider damn near all of them as cheaters just like Barry. The way dude is getting treated is hella unfair and it's fucked up McGwire got a pass until after everybody had a great time cheering him on. Most of the people Barry competes against are on 'roids...so before you go to say anything about dude that you haven't said about everybody else.....STFU.
I normally blog like every 4 days, I wanna cut that down to every other day, but I've been extremely busy preparing for finals. Normally I don't stress tests. I actually like them. (it gives me another opportunity to prove I'm better than everyone else.....j/k....no I'm not). However, my classes seemed so easy to me, I got bored and started slacking. Now I have to get my stuff together for these tests to make sure I end with A's. With all this frustration....someone has to pay.
"If I don't like it, I don't like it, that don't mean that I'm hating"
Common "The 6th sense"
First of all, let me start by saying I love west coast music. I wish I was able to leave it at that, but the fact of the matter is, when I say I love west coast music, I'm already knowing your thinking of dudes with khakis and low riders throwing up gang signs. What the idiots everywhere seem to not know, is there's alot more than that going on out here. We got Dilated Peoples, Hieroglyphics, Self Scientific, Cypress Hill, Murs, Living Legends, Strong Arm Steady, The Liks, Planet Asia and Rasco (Cali Agents) etc, etc. The only thing that makes me more upset than someone from somewhere else trying to say that's all there is out here, is someone FROM here acting like that's all there is out here. Hence my extreme "dislike" for mister Jayceon.
While Game isn't the first one to embrace the stereotypical west coast artist role, he's probably the biggest fraud (with the exception of his role model Dr. Dre) and most overrarted to do so. Before I get into how dude is not "gangsta" let me ask a question. Has anybody actually listened to his music? No, I mean listened to it. It's not that tight. First of all, a bunch of punchlines doesn't equal tight lyrics. I don't care what some random ass mixtape "DJ" (just because you throw "DJ" in front of your name, that doesn't mean your a DJ. If that was true, I'd throw Dr. in front of my name, and go get some of that Dr. paper) tells you. If punchlines was what hip hop was all about, we'd be calling Big L the greatest of all time by far, and we'd argue all day about who's the greatest alive Cassidy, Joe Budden, or Lil Wayne. Dude's punchlines aren't all that tight anywayz. When he's not kicking whack ass punchlines, he's name dropping. Dude drops names WAAAAAAaaaYYyy too much. I think he said MY name in a couple of verses. There's more names in a Game verse than in a chapter out of a history book. The only difference is the history book is alot closer to the truth. (and history books are far from the truth) Speaking of being far from the truth.......here's Some real hardcore stuff.
"That's so not gangsta"
Riley "The Boondocks"
I'm pretty sure most of you have already seen this. That's mister super blood right there. notice the rag hanging out of his pocket? Oh you don't? That's because it's not there. I knew before I seen this a long time ago dude was fake. I'm not saying that everyone who raps has to be a super gangsta, shot 20 people, and have been to jail 2 times. The thing is though, when you rap about that shit, don't show the negative side of it, and have never lived it, what are you doing? Advertising bullshit like it's the life to live to impressionable kids everywhere. I know we have a freedom of speech, and I also know it's a parents responsibility to raise there own kids, but that's not an excuse to pollute the airwaves with bullshit you don't really know anything about.
My biggest problem with dude is....he's not that dope. In all honesty, I liked "The Documentary". I thought it had some good songs on it. "Hate it or Love it" "Dreams", you can't deny there was some good shit on there. When Game left G-unit and 50 started saying he wrote alot of that shit, I thought "oh well, fuck it, time will tell, dude will drop another album, and the truth will come out". Well....he did drop another album, and the truth did come out. The truth is even though what most people view as 50's second album "The Massacre" was Garbello Anthony (garbage), what was actually his third cd (his first being "Power of the Dollar" his second being "Get Rich or Die Trying) "The Documentary" was one of his best works. That cd had 50 all over it, and he should've kept those tracks for his own cd.
"I call a spade a spade, it just is what it is"
Jay-Z "Blueprint 2"
You can talk shit all you want, but I'm just keeping it real. If I really wanted to diss dude, I would've said how one of my homegirls favorite strippers died, and dude (Jayceon) showed up to the funeral, and threw a tantrum cuz they wouldn't let him speak. (Oopps, did I say that again, I keep letting that slip out). I'm not upset that dude took flight on Ras Kass and I haven't heard real music from Ras since. (I still listen to "Soul On Ice" "Rassasination" and "Institutionalized") I'm just a dude with an opinion stating it, if you don't like it.....oh well.
Go out and support real west coast hip hop, buy that "Dogg Food" by Dogg Pound.
Ok, I'm big on improving race relations. I think this is America, one of the most diverse countries, and we should enjoy it. We all have alot to learn from other races. However, I don't support cooning to close the gaps. For those who don't know, let me warn you ahead of time. "Coon" is a racial term that was once to be used by racist whites for blacks, therefore, don't use this term in public if your not black around blacks, they might not like it. Not everyone is as "accepting" as I am. (well actually, I probably would have liked to punch KKKRamer, but besides that, I normally don't care) now, back to the subject. Cooning is when a black person acts like an appeasing slave, or in other words, acts in a manner that SHOULD upset black people everywhere, to entertain others. I'm not for it.

Fun for the whole family?? Not mine. Some people just don't care. Cooning for money happens often. Some people will do absolutely anything for the dough. You have to have some damn limits. What is wrong with people these days? While he wasn't the greatest actor in the movie (he had several odd looks, and being in the hood, I didn't believe him one bit), but Cuba Gooding Jr. was in "Boyz in the Hood" How do you go from that to Snow Dogs? That's not the only mistake he's made either.

He plays a guy who pretends to be gay to get closer to some chick. Come on? Damn dog. Your telling me you couldn't get better acting roles after "Jerry Mcguire" (sp?). Look at that look on his face, it just reaks of "Man I'd love some fried chicken and watermelon flavored Kool-Aid" Coonin!

First of all, where is her booty? Anywayz, you know these guys were gonna get it. While I'm glad they haven't been seen in a hot second, I'm sure they'll be back, so before they do, let me call them out now. These guys have some of the most coonish moments in the history of coonin. On the Saigon "Welcome to Saigon" DVD, he showed one of the twins making this funny face, then, some dark kid back in a black and white movie making a face that looked just like the ying yang dude(which I'd imagine he was made to make by racist whites because back then, that's the only way we got into movies) The thing is, I don't know if ya'lls know, but wes been phree for awhiles now. The coonin can stop. Sai was making a point, and I feel him. These people look like god damn fools. Please stop it. They wanna ban words, but someone needs to ban cooning. I remember one time, I was in Carson City, Nevada being interviewed for a job at Best Buy. (I got a million stories, my life should be a movie, in fact, it just might) I went into their break room, and on the big screen TV they had on BET. The Ying Yang Twins were on. Some white dude came to the break room, seen the TV, then looked at me, I said "I didn't do that , I can stand them or this channel". I was embarrassed. Some would say I'm some uppity negro for feeling this way, I'm saying I'm sick of cooning. This is 2007, we have a black man trying to go for president who would actually make a good candidate (Al never had a chance), and while things may still not be even, we can quit with the "shuckin and jivin".
