And we're back

OK so we are back...just when you thought it was safe to come away from your computers..DX Dirt is back to make you hold tight to see just what is going on in and around the industry that people don't get to know. You may not want to know the dirt but you damn sure read it.

First off, quite shocked yesterday when I got an e mail asking if I would like to request an interview with Tupac...I mean my jaw dropped. I know he released yet another album from the grave yesterday but damn now he talking from the grave. I know it had to be a typo on the part of the company who is handling the project..but still. Although there was a radio jock out west earlier this year saying he was talking to Pac from the grave...that is straight up twilight zone shit there kids

Man Pimp C is dead..gotta offer my condolences to his family and his boy the big homie Bun B. Another key figure in Hip-Hop gone.

This whole Def Jam lay off thing is buzzing around. My source over there, thankfully still got their ass firmly on a seat was filling me in on a few things. The budget that Def Jam are to allegedly have blown on Jay's project isn't quite as big as the fired are making out. Therefore would not warrant the hundred plus Def Jam employees to be out on their ear. I did hear that Jay actually used his endorsements to cover the costs of certain things to do with the album to avoid actually spending Def Jam money and keeping it on the real...people be saying Jay wasted a lot of Def Jam money..do you really and truly think that Shawn Carter is in a position to make so many bad decisions that he has put Def Jam in the red? Shawn Carter is nothing more than a face to that label, dare I even say ...a puppet. Times are a changing people...American Gangster was a good classic album the fact that Def Jam are firing is because people is not because of that album or Jay overspending on dinners at Mr Chow's for Bey Bey. They are going through what everyone else is going through..I mean when Sony/Columbia had their last clear out it was because their staff were blatantly stealing the money. The shame of it.

Ok so Tip might not be able to give thanks with the fam on Thanksgiving but he is as usual looking as dapper as he does on the cover of Rap - Up. Pleased to see they snapped him in pink as opposed to green and black, the colors I thought he was looking to wear.

 

Shock jock Wendy Williams has secured her own TV show no less. Not sure as to why this is such big news as didn't she already have a show on VH1..the one where she aired out Usher on the red carpet lol. Anyhow the wires are buzzing that the show is going to be more along the lines of the Tyra Banks show. I mean do we see people wanting to sit down with Wendy Williams on a couch or big comfy chair and discuss their downfalls in life, their personal tragedies. their insecurities with someone who when in her radio job might feel the need to inform the whole of the tri state. I am sure the casting agent for that show if Wendy is looking to be the ghetto new Oprah is going to be on a bigger salary than the star. Still love you Wendy tho..just stick at what you are good at.

OK now Kanye deemed 'bling' as a word of the past..saying it was a word middle aged white folks ran with now so with that being said..what in the name of heaven possessed Biggie wanna be Sean Kingston to purchase this piece of wackness? Yeah kids..you too can do this at home with a box of crayola crayons, sequins and some elmers...will someone guide this child please and stop him from making an even bigger fool of himself.
