i dont feel like tracking down the audio but a while back bizzy bone (the sometimes y member) of the group bone thuggs n harmony gave a very jaw dropping 'oh shit he done lost his damn mind' kinda interview to a radio station in texas (i think) where he touched on alot of topics from his beef with B2K (cus we all know razz b keeps the cal on him), his cross continent stroll (i dont know how far he made it but yeah) and his self imposed homelessness. All of this was peppered with him speaking no scratch that screaming and growling in tongues. needless to say as a pop culture fan in general i was stunned, dazed, amazed and astounded (c) skateboard p.
so when this video of im spillin the beans on where he stands with the current status of bone, bizzy and the industry popped up i was definitely interested to see what he had to say:
first off 2 points of interest:
- dont they mail everybody their grammy's after the show? or is that just hearsay...
- we know he has a drinking problem but i dont think he was drinking beer in that clip, it looked like soda but hey what do i know. okay then again after reviewing the tape it may be a bud lite :/ oh gee....
now after watching that one may be temped to say that he is batshit crazy as usual but i dont know. i think his persona is a lil nutty to be honest but something drove him to that, and it wasnt that kidnapping thing that pushed him over the edge. i know that affected him as a person but i think this new bizzy we see was created by the industry.
see the thing is the music business from the inside is not a fun place at all, and thats treading lightly on it. especially in todays climate, its rough for artists both indie and major label. you can armchair a&r all you want and debate about the shit reported by the media terrorists all you want but you gotta remember one thing man, its an arist driven business that very blantantly doesnt really give two shits about the artists driving it. you do have some artists who build their own boats to stay afloat but for the most part they are the exceptions and not the rule.
I feel like bizzy is going thru some serious shit and definitely is doing the right thing by taking care of himself how he sees fit and although he was always my favorite bone (pause) i am happy he is addressing his personal matters.
