The blame game

The blame game is it really the labels fault that an artist doesn’t sell?

I just read an article from shawnna of dtp in which she does the ever so popular blame label promotions as an excuse for no one picking up your albums… lets really look at this seriously how important is promotions in hip hop really? I mean if a wack album is heavily promoted would it do any better? I say no. for one in many cases this argument is just complete bullshit for example shawnna she had a big hit that had plenty of radio and video air play, I've seen her on 106 and park and I could record a commercial for her album playing every hour on the hour correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn’t this count as promotions?? I mean what else do u fucking want the label to do? Really what else is there to do I mean sure she didn’t have a bud wiser commercial but plenty of albums have more  with a lot less so why the fuck is she complaining I bet talib kweli would give his right thumb for that type or promotion.

Another example jo budden dude has been crying about lack of promotion for the last 3 years now granted he had a hit song that was played all damn day on the radio and 2 videos that got great rotation, a spot in a video game and he even had a little special where they were following him around while he was doing a PROMOTIONAL TOUR for the album.. oh and lets not forget the little incident where Keith Murray got pissed at all the extra promotion Jo Budden was getting where he flipped out and shanked a def jam executive oz style. But the funniest example would be N.O.R.E. when he blamed the label for that wack raggaeton album flopping, yeah nore it had to be the promotions it couldn’t have been the fact that nobody (including raggaeton fans) wanted to hear that shit, I know I sure as hell didn’t I would rather a swarm of fire ants devour my nut sack than to listen to a whole album of nore trying his best to be Spanish hell I barely want to hear the dude speak English.

Maybe just maybe the reason your album didn’t sell is because no body wanted to buy it I mean u cant sell an ice cream sandwich to an Eskimo and u cant sell wack uninteresting music to hip hop fans. Me personally I don’t give a fuck if a member of shawnna's street team stapled a flyer to my balls I’m not going to buy that shit, I don’t care if they had a glow in the dark ad placed on my shortie's lower back that flashed whenever I give her back shots (and the infallible one loves back shots) I'm just going to get it. No amount of promotion in the world will ever get me to buy a bow wow album. U think fans really don’t know your albums out. I never walked into a record store like “oh wow I didn’t even know jayz was coming out with an album what a surprise” no I know the release date of every single album I will ever purchase months in advance as do most hip hop fans.

U think blaming your for everything would work in real life like if I'm with my shorty and I ejaculate prematurely u think I could some how blame that on defjam “I’m sorry baby but if jayz paid more attention to my project this wouldn’t have happened. As a matter of fact I think I will blame jayz for every short coming I have in my life from now on.

Will Homosexuality be Hip Hop's next big trend

So I’m browsing the internet as a I usually do daily and I come across a quote from a new beanie sigel freestyle in which he says “I’m not in the closet like kanye” pretty much accusing kanye of being gay which struck me as kind of odd considering I’ve seen some of the ladies kanye has been involved with and he has been rumored to be with other celebrities while I’ve never actually even seen beanie sigel stand next to another female. And its kind of mind boggling to me that a person that has been to jail (the butt sex capitol) numerous times would accuse someone else of being gay. Aside from the extra smedium jeans kanye takes me as being pretty straight, while beanie sigel has made a song where he pretty much confesses his lover for his niggas (ride 4 my my niggas) he practically breaks down and cries at the end of it which is rather gay if u ask me and he also has a song about how “real” life in jail is (see butt sex capitol). I’m not saying beans is a homo but at the least beans has received a dirty sanchez from his bunk mate, so for him to accuse another man of being gay is kind of crazy.

Where am I going with is u ask? Well walk with me journey through the mind of the infallible one.

Its just funny to me that a culture that praises jail life, goes crazy over the latest colorful hoodies, a culture that goes searching every sneaker store near and far for the latest fruit loop inspired air force ones that match the sox they just purchases would be so homophobic. Like it or not one day hip hop is going to have to embrace homosexuality and who do u think would be the best candidate to lead the charge, that’s right boys and girl none other than young hov himself. Just look at jay’s track record he made everyone drink crystal which had baby balers like me going broke every weekend, he made it practically unacceptable to purchase the 4.0. range rover I mean damn its been 10 years and I still don’t know the difference between a 4.0 and a 4.6 aside from the inflated prices, he made us go out and spend 400 plus dollars on throw back jerseys then made us all throw them away and had us dressing like we were on our way to Sunday school and shit.  I can picture the track already  “u niggas been metro sexual for 3 years nigga go in” or “nigga fuck how u feel homos the new hetero” and as we all know if hov does it lil weezy fucking baby will be all over this I mean he already dresses like the dudes from queer eye for the straight gay.

And even still Hip Hop would still be gangster you know why. Who hates gay people the most, that’s right the us government image the look on George Bushes face when he sees his first homo rap video “firs they make all the kids sell drugs and kill people and now this!” plus u have to think of the benefits the gay community is very loyal look at American idol I guarantee that 80% of the people that what American idol have at least given some dude a rim job  and lets face it right now rap cds are selling like they have aids on them. So In closing look out for that new jayz album “H to the izzo M to the izzo” dropping the week after detox  1.
