.…..So I’m at the airport coming back from Houston and I get a text message on my helio directing me to mediatakeout.com……I’m bored as hell because my flight was delayed and I’m off Patron and blackened alligator so I got that nigga-itus crackin’.….

Anyway, I text back and ask why I should go to this particular site, on some for what?.......When I was told the reason why I should check it out, I pulled the site up and saw some shit I’m unfamiliar with…..I saw two male rappers kissing each other on the lips during a performance on stage and it wasn’t Baby and Weezy…….Don’t get me wrong, I’m not homophobic, I just never ever seen two gangsta rappers kiss each other on the lips while performing…

Perhaps this is a new way of greeting those in your crew…. I’m from C.O.B. and we will die for each other, ride for each other, but I be damned if we gon’ kiss each other on the lips….I guess everybody has their own thing and this issue is inch size compared to all the real problems in hip hop but w.t.f. is that about tho?.......I guess nobody cares about pistol packin’ lip lockers….

I’m from the Crip and Blood state so maybe I am accustom to gangsters greeting each other in a gang-banger fashion……I know Italian mobsters kiss each other on the cheek so is this an attempt to go way further?...On some ‘ we’re in deeper than other family organizations’….I don’t know, fuck it, niggaz is kissin’ now….Is what it is….NOT IN MY MOVEMENT!.......One more thing, whichever male rapper doesn’t like this blog should go do the remix to MY LIP GLOSS IS POPPIN’!........................Eastside Long Beach C.O.B. Is it Mixtapes for life? Or F*ck Mixtapes?!!

I know I was supposed to come back with part two of my ten best ever list but I gotta question that I need sum feedback on…….Is it Mixtapes for life? Or is it Fuck Mixtapes?!!........... Let us explore this shit for a second……Mixtapes are a good vehicle to promote artist on a street level but are artist overdoing it?........Would a rappers album sound better to the consumer if he didn’t release ten mixtapes a year?......A lot of mixtapes are better than albums because the artist has more freedom of expression on the mixtape……….

If I say fuck G.W.Bush on my album, my distributor can refuse to distribute my project but I can yell it all day on a mixtape…..If I’m an up-and-comin’ young artist who can’t afford production from superstar producers, I can grab instrumentals from Dre, Timbo, Just-Blaze, or Kanye and show the world how I get down…on a mixtape……..Now I’m sayin whatever the fuck I wanna say over hot ass beats and fans are loving the tapes but when I drop my record the feedback is not the same………..

Does it hurt the artist when the fans say the mixtape is hotter than the album?......Is the artist over-exposing his or herself when three or four mixtapes drop before the album?........Is buying an album the first day it drops a big deal when you already have five mixtapes on that same artist?.........I got 21 questions like 50 my niggaz!!..........I want to know how yall view it……..I dropped Young Boss Vol.1 with D.J. Warrior and D.J. Hideo, Young Boss Vol.2 with D.J. Skee , Young Boss Vol. 3 is coming in august with Warrior and Young Boss Vol.4 is already done!..........I’m dropping weekly freestyles online too so if mixtapes are overdoing it, I’M OVER OVERDOING IT!!!........Holla back at me, let a nigga know son!.........

If  R&B niggaz dropped mixtapes  all over the place, would their fans miss their music enough to line up on the Tuesday their album comes out and buy, buy, buy?..............Is it mixtapes or fuck mixtapes?.....All you mixtape d.j.’s, don’t point your gun at me yet!.......I’m just askin’ a few questions cuz I want this Hip Hop shit to thrive!..........I know mixtapes are extremely important when creating a buzz for artists but I still have questions!............I’m everywhere my dude!!......Hood to hood my guy!!....Me, Jim Gittum, The Horseshoe G.A.N.G., Sauce the Boss, Jay-Cee and the whole C.O.B. are in the streets heavy!!....

I said that to say this, niggaz in the streets give me feedback everyday…….From Cali to N.Y. cats tell me shit like ‘ I like 50 but his underground shit was better’ or ‘ Lil Weezy’s mixtape is way doper than his album!’……………I really hear these things!..........I personally don’t think mixtapes are ever going to totally disappear but I think they will decline a little because record sales are down and niggaz are re-thinking EVERY STRATEGY AND FORMULA!………

So maybe we should educate the fans on the reasons mixtapes sometimes come out hotter than albums…..I SAID SOMETIMES!.....Too many classic albums out there that are SHITTIN’ on a gang of mixtapes so don’t get it twisted!!!.........Tell me what the deal is people……..Holla at a boss!!!.............C.O.B. out!!!!!!!!

Wassup with this nigga, Al trying to clean up hip hop lyrics??.....I heard he’s buying a ton of stock in a major music distribution company so he can become a board member and have say-so where the product is concerned….Bravo my nigga!.....That’s one smart move!....Now Al can get paid from the companies’ pre-existing catalogue (the nigga nigga nigga hip hop music) while he appears to be fighting from the inside to change the companies’ future catalogue……I think this nigga read The 48 laws of power, bcuz he has about ten of them at work with that move….GET PAID FROM EXPLICIT 50 CENT LYRICS WHILE PRETENDING TO CAMPAIGN AGAINST THEM!....Wish I woulda thought of dat shit!!!

Wtf is a Gangster M.C.???

So I’m writin’ this weekly blog now as if I have a shit load of time on my hands and I don’t….But I RESPECT this site so much that I agreed to do it immediately…..Without dick-ridin’ let me say that I luv this site for various reasons…The main one being its balance… I can’t stand sites that are too Westy or too Easty or ones that cater to Backpackers only!!!!!!... This site is well balanced so I’m with the bizness u bitches!!haha …. Now lets establish somethin’ real quick……grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax and structure  umm yeah throw that shit out the window!!!...When ur readin’ my blog, ur on my block!.....You’ll be lucky to get a properly placed comma ya dig….

With that said…WTF IS A GANGSTER M.C.???.......A Gangster M.C. is the missin’ link between a gangsta rapper and a true hip hop emcee....His environment makes him gangster but a passion for hip hop music and his creativity makes him an emcee….Us hip hop types tend to put too much emphasis on categorizing rap music!..... “I can’t listen to that gangsta rap shit” or “I  don’t support them backpack niggaz”……You heard it before…..I heard it a gazillion times too many….Dear say’er of the afore mentioned statements…..NO MATTER WHAT CATEGORY YOU PLACE A RAPPER IN, THERE ARE ONLY TWO OF IMPORTANCE!!....DOPE & WACK! PERIOD!...

The gangster m.c. is a dope emcee who has been exposed to a gangster lifestyle due to growin’ up in the hood…….Say for instance a young dude embraces hip hop ( like me ) becomes a stick up kid ( like me ) who has a gangbangin’- crack dealin’ big brother ( again me ) and a mother who taught him to weigh, bag and sell weed by the age of 12 ( yep me )…how would he be expected to spit some Will Smith shit???......No disrespect to Will bcuz if I wanna buy some Will Smith shit  I “ will” and If I wanna buy some g-shit so what?....The dope shit will stay in the ride and the wackness will be thrown out the moon roof….DOPE & WACK MY NIGGAZ…..

So what category should we put the gangster m.c. in?....You tell me…but at least listen without prejudice……Cuz after all, some of the greatest rappers of all time are Gangster M.C.’s ….( yes gangster, gangsta is commercial b.s. )…..I’m willin’ to bet  80% of whoever is in your top ten favorite rappers of all time has lived a hard knock life…..100% of my top ten favorites have!....So all you non-gangsta rap fans, listen before you judge….There might be a GANGSTER M.C. hidden in that gangsta rap genre you keep your distance from….word to Nathaniel Wilson! a.k.a.
