I remember being 14 and thinking that Jay-Z, DMX and Canibus were the best emcees in the world! I was young and eager to grasp onto their music and do whatever it took to convince the world, that I'm right. I think my whole 8th grade year was centered around debates about who's better, "Canibus or Mystikal, DMX or Mac?" It seems silly now, but people were passionate about Hip Hop back in the day. Those debates helped shape who I am today. I'm pretty sure that a lot of you have stories and debates you could remember.
Anyway, around the time I got into my second semester of high school, everybody was calling me "Da Roc!" I had all the latest RocAWear clothes, I knew all there was to know about Hip Hop and I knew everything that there was to know about Jay-Z. It was 1998/99 and Memphis Bleek was the next big artist, that I was looking forward to "rockin' with" and when his album dropped, I knew he would be the truth. Side note: Coming of Age was an incredible album.
Nevermind that story, but anyway... I thought Jay-Z would be the superman for the hood and help all of us. He seemed to be so connected to the Earth (not to say that he's not). I still believe Jay-Z cares a bit about the people. I just don't understand why would somebody with so much insight and wisdom, promote garbage like Young Jeezy? SOMEBODY ACTUALLY COMPARED THIS DUDE TO 2PAC? Where are we headed people?! This is not the same type of THUG...do your research.
Young Jeezy is the epitome of a clown. Hopefully money isn't the drive of this bullsh*t stunt. Watch this video and if you disagree you're a clown too. BAN YOUNG JEEZY<<
