Peace! Alotta ya'll been hating lately, but I guess no money, mo problems. Lol. Let's move on...shout out to the non-believers. Anyway, I'm old school when it comes to album releases and those special Tuesdays. I've been pressured to listen to American Gangster...but I will not. I'm dying to hear it though, I heard some tracks on DX and on The Fader...and I'm excited to hear that Mr. Carter is flowing again...I'm tired of hearing dudes talk over tracks...whispering and ish. But real talk, I find myself mad at Jay-Z for songs like "Beach Chair" and "Anything you want" featuring Usher on Kingdom Come. What is "Beach Chair" about anyway? "Life is like beach chair..ah..ah..ah" Lol. I guess we all slip...but get up like my dude Earl Simmons (DMX). Like I mentioned in a previous blog, Jay-Z is a genius for a lack of better words and has made a huge impact on this industry we refer to as Hip Hop, as well as the culture. He had ya'll fools taking off ya'll jerseys and putting on button-ups..lol. Change clothes and go. He also has alotta chicks wanting to be like Beyonce. Sidnote: I peeped the excessive weave and ass treatments. You can't fool me.
The point is, he's destroyed this game in little over than a decade. Let's look at it...1996-2007. That's a business man! He's had quite an impressive run. We all know the Blueprint 2 should have been one disc and we also know that Kingdom Come should have been exclusive Roc-A-Fella ring-tones...but he's dope. Think about Reasonable Doubt, Vol 1., Vol 2., The Dynasty, The Black Album and Blueprint. Those albums are classic. I'm not sure about Vol. 3...but it's dope too. I was listening to D'evils which is one of my favorite songs in the whole world...the other day and thought to myself.."Damn, people don't understand this shyt..." If they did, they wouldn't say shyt like "Lil Wayne better than Jay-Z..Camron will kill Jay-Z...or T.I. is better than Jay." Not to say that those guys are wack...but nobody will do what Jay has done to game-ever.
Now to the point...nobody will EVER BE TUPAC. I know Tupac is better than anybody you mention. I truly and seriously believe this man was bigger than Hip Hop and had the power to control the minds of many. He also turned thousands into followers and whatever Tupac said...went. I remember being 10, 11 and 12 listening to Tupac and thinking "I hate Mobb Deep," and being that I was only 11 and from Milwaukee,WI (lol) I had never heard a Mobb Deep album. I didn't like them because Tupac didn't like them. It was crazy. Years later I discover Havoc is a beast on production and I love Prodigy's "non-rhyming" lines about sickle cell and bitch n*ggas. Lol.
But albums like Me against the world, Makaveli and All Eyez on me can't been done again. Nobody can ever do that again.
The name of the game is control. Both Jay and Tupac had (and has) major mind control over the minds of the masses. So...it's safe to say that Pac is the greatest of all time and if he's not...you have to give it to Jay. Sidenote: Nas on some lyrical shyt..but that would hurt my argument.
So now all these listeners have become thugs and potential gangsters...but it's cool, because it's all subliminal. Sublimal for strength, dedicationa nd progression.
LET'S START INFLUENCING THESE PEOPLE TO BE POWERFUL AND TRAIN THEM TO BE LEADERS..LOL. MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP AMERICAN GANGSTER ON NOVEMBER 6, 2007.
