Childish Gambino is reissuing his 3.15.20album, giving the celebrated project a new title and cover art, though he’s held back on a release date for now.
The artist and actor born Donald Glover shared the news on Instagram stories on Friday (March 15).

He shared a photo of a tracklist for an album called ATAVISTA, which included 11 songs and a run time of 55 minutes. What was initially reported as a new album was eventually revealed to be an updated edition with a new title and track names.
The original album was released with a white square as its cover artwork. Additionally, the track names simply corresponded to the time stamp at which each song began.

The 2020 album was the last project Glover released under the Childish Gambino name. It arrived four years after his celebrated 2016 album Awaken, My Love!
The Childish Gambino moniker isn’t the only thing the Atlanta creator is considering reviving.

Donald Glover revealed last month that he’s been considering getting back into stand-up comedy despite passing up the opportunity to jump on stage in Los Angeles not too long ago.
During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter last month for his show with Maya Erskine, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the multi-hyphenate revealed that he still writes down jokes from time to time.

“I still write jokes down and I think about it,” he said. “I asked Bill Burr where to go, and I had a list, and I was just like, ‘Is it something that I feel like I need to do right now?’ Maybe it’s just a nice thing that’s there that you can try to do again if you want.”
He also revealed that he considered a return to comedy because of Chris Rock, saying: “Oh yeah. Thought about it. Chris Rock had said, like, ‘When are you going to do it again? No one gets really good at it until their 40s, except for Eddie [Murphy].”
Glover also shared that he goes to the Comedy Cellar in New York, though he hasn’t made a return to the stage.
Elsewhere in the interview, he offered an update of sorts on new Childish Gambino music, sharing: “I want to, but I sort of feel the same about music as I do about stand-up right now.”

Back in December, Glover said he’s working on a new album when probed by TMZ, but he didn’t give away much else beside saying it’s coming “soon.” It’s unclear whether this new music is the just-announced update on 3.15.20.
